The World Chess Championship Match 2012 has come to its end. The closing ceremony of the match was conducted by the Chairman of the Russian Chess Federation Board Ilya Levitov. At the beginning of the ceremony Alexander Zhukov, the President of the Russian IOC, the 1st Vice Chairman of the Russian Federation State Duma delivered a speech. Then the warm words were said by Irina Lebedeva, Director General of the State Tretyakov Gallery and Kirsan Ilyumzhinov, the FIDE President. He invited Viswanathan Anand and Boris Gelfand to the stage. The Indian Grandmaster was awarded with the Champion's Cup and with the special prize from Tretyakov Gallery. Also both of the chess players received FIDE medals from Kirsan Ilyumzhinov. The winner was also wreathed with laurels and Champion's ribbon.
